The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified. For detailed information on data protection, please refer to our Privacy Policy set out below this text.
Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find the operator’s contact details in the section “Information on the Responsible Party” in this Privacy Policy.
How do we collect your data?
On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us. This may, for example, be data you enter into a contact form or send to us by email. Other data is collected automatically or with your consent by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system, or time of the page visit). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.
What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipients, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. You can contact us at any time regarding this and any other questions on the subject of data protection.
2. Data Collection on This Website
Cookies
Our web pages use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services of third-party companies within websites. Cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified.
Our website sets no cookies of its own (document.cookie). For anonymous reach measurement, we use Umami Analytics, which works without cookies and without comparable recognition technologies on your device (see Section 6).
Local Storage (Local Storage / Session Storage)
To provide necessary functions, we use the browser storage mechanisms localStorage and sessionStorage. This data remains exclusively in your browser; it is not transmitted to our servers.
vanozza_cookie_consent(localStorage): stores your cookie preferences so the banner does not reappear on every visit. Legal basis: technical necessity of cookie consent (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR / § 25(2) no. 2 TTDSG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act)).- Scroll position (sessionStorage): stores your scroll position so that you return to the same place when navigating back. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a user-friendly presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Server Log Files
The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – the server log files must be collected for this purpose.
Contact Form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided your inquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested.
The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Inquiry by Email
If you contact us by email, your inquiry, including all personal data resulting from it (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided your inquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and/or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

This may include, in particular, IP addresses, contact inquiries, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website accesses, and other data generated via a website.

6. Analytics Tools
Umami Analytics (self-hosted)
For anonymous reach measurement, this website uses the open-source analytics software Umami in a self-hosted instance on a server operated by us. No data is transmitted to third parties; data processing takes place exclusively within our area of responsibility.
Umami sets no cookies and does not use any comparable recognition technologies on your device. IP addresses are not stored in plain text; they are only incorporated into a hash formed with a daily rotating salt, which serves exclusively for the short-term recognition of recurring page views within the same day. There is no tracking across multiple websites; no user profiles are created.
Only anonymous aggregate data is collected: pages visited and time spent, browser and operating system used, approximate geographic location at country or region level, and the referring website (referrer).
Umami is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in a data-minimizing analysis of the use of our online offering in order to improve content and functions. Further information on the software used: umami.is.
7. Embedded External Services and Libraries
For the presentation and functionality of our website, we use the following external libraries and services. When these resources are retrieved, your IP address is necessarily transmitted to the respective provider. The integration is based on our legitimate interest in a technically flawless and visually appealing presentation of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
unpkg (Content Delivery Network)
This website loads open-source JavaScript libraries (AOS for scroll animations and Leaflet for the map display in the store finder) via the publicly accessible CDN unpkg.com, operated by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When the files are retrieved, technical data such as your IP address, the requested path, and browser and device information are transmitted to Cloudflare. No cookies are set in the process. The transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Further information: cloudflare.com/de-de/privacypolicy.
OpenStreetMap (Map Display in the Store Finder)
For the interactive map of our store finder, we use map material from the service OpenStreetMap. The tile server used, tile.openstreetmap.de, is operated by FOSSGIS e.V., Bundesallee 23, 10717 Berlin, Germany. The map is loaded when the homepage is opened, unless you have deactivated the “External Maps” category in our cookie settings. In the process, map tiles (approx. 15–30 per page view) are retrieved from the server; your IP address, the requested path, browser and device information, and the referrer are transmitted to the FOSSGIS server in Germany. No cookies are set. If the category is deactivated, a static preview is displayed instead, and you can activate the map specifically by clicking on it. Further information: fossgis.de/datenschutzerklärung.
Locally Embedded Content
Fonts (Nunito, Lexend, Londrina Solid, Montserrat) as well as all images and icons are delivered directly from our server. No third-party providers such as Google Fonts are contacted for this purpose.
8. Social Media
Our website contains links to our social media profiles on the following platforms:
- Instagram (@vanozza.foods)
- Facebook (VANOZZA)
- LinkedIn (VANOZZA)
These are simple links (no social media plugins). When you click on the links, you are redirected to the respective social media platforms. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click on the link. If you do not click on the links, no data is transmitted to the providers of the social media platforms.
9. SSL or TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
