- 30 g vegan butter alternative (e.g. Alsan)
For the syrup
- 50 g sugar
- 50 ml water
- 1 green cardamom pod
- 1 black cardamom pod
- ½ vanilla bean
- 1 chili thread

Dissolve the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Crack the cardamom pods open with a gentle tap. Add the cardamom, vanilla bean, and chili thread. Keep simmering over low heat for the best flavor.

Cut the mozzarella into thick slices and wrap them in the kadaifi pastry threads.

Melt the vegan butter in a hot pan. Fry the kunafa until golden brown on both sides. Deglaze with the sugar syrup, arrange on a plate, and drizzle the remaining syrup on top.
